Pricing and Eligibility
Define event price rules, gate them with benefits, and deduct meter credits when a booking confirms.
Overview
Ticket options are known as price rules in Members. Each event can have multiple price rules. Price rules control:
- Who can book (any restrictions on the member's entitlements)
- The price they pay
- What benefits are consumed when the booking is confirmed
- What cancellation policy applies to the booking
Set them on the event in the admin dashboard when you create or edit an event.
Price rules

You can attach several rules to one event. Members only see options they qualify for. Staff see unavailable options greyed out when booking on behalf of a member.
Eligibility and member rates
Use benefits required to gate who can use a price option. Without the entitlement, that option is unavailable for the member.

| Member rate | Require a membership benefit so only current members see the discounted price. Guests only see the public rate. |
| Priority booking access | Require a priority or premium-tier benefit so those members can book early or use a reserved rate. Everyone else sees the option as unavailable until general release, or not at all. |
| Peak times | Put a higher peak rate on busy slots (for example weekday evenings) and require nothing extra, or require a peak-access benefit if only certain plans may book those times. Off-peak events keep a lower rate. |
| Early access | Same event and price as the member rate, but also require an early-access benefit so priority tiers can book before the general membership. |
When staff create a booking, Members checks the selected member's current entitlements and shows which price options they can use. Turn on Override if you need to force a rate the member would not normally qualify for. See Staff override.
In the member website and app, members only see options available to them. They cannot override eligibility.
Benefit deductions
A deduction consumes a meter benefit when the booking is confirmed, not while it is only held.

Amount and deductions work together on the same price option:
- Credits only: free ($0) and deduct 1 unit from a free sessions meter
- Money only: a paid rate with no deductions
- Both: a monetary price plus a meter deduction, for example discounted entry that still charges a reduced fee and consumes 1 unit from a discount entry meter
Whether units are restored on cancel is controlled by the cancellation policy (or a staff override when settling a cancel). Deduction usage follows the same benefit usage model as other meter benefits.
Example pricing setups

Editing price options
When someone books, the chosen price option is locked on that booking (name, amount, deductions, and cancellation policy at book time). Later edits to the event's price list do not rewrite bookings that already used an older option.
Change amounts or gates carefully on live events. Consider adding a new option when you need a different rate going forward, and stop offering the old one when it should no longer be selected.
