What can you build with the API?

By using the Members.dev API, you can build fully bespoke membership experiences, without having to do the heavy lifting yourself.

For example, you can:

• Integrate a barcode scanner at your facility's entrance to automatically check access rights for each member
• Create a fully custom membership portal inside your own website or mobile application
• Provide membership infrastructure to different clubs or chapters within your organization or association
• Build reports and analytics to understand your membership base and usage

API Functionality

The API unlocks the full functionality of Members.dev. Unlike other membership platforms, which have a very limited or read-only APIs, Members.dev's API is fully featured and allows you to manage your entire membership program.

In fact, most features are released to the API before they are available in the admin dashboard. For example, if you need extreme customisability over benefit entitlement logic, such as having multiple benefits per subscription with different expiry rules, you can do this via the API.

Getting Started

To get started with the API, you will need to create an API key. After you have created an account, you can navigate to the API keys page in the dashboard to generate a new API key.
